Melbourne
Sydney
Nothing to worry about in Melbourne for today’s matches, however there is the chance of some rain in Sydney. I doubt it will impact on the game too much.
Where to Attack?
All teams have played six matches now, so we have plenty of data to base our strategies on.
Gold Coast have been extremely leaky to defenders up to this point, and their opponents Collingwood have plenty of viable options to capitalise on that.
It’s much the same in the middle, as Gold Coast’s young midfield has still not mastered restricting opposition stars. Collingwood’s midfield has not scored particularly highly so far this year, so there are bargains to be had.
Game Script – Collingwood stacks
VALUE PLAYS
Keidean Coleman ($7,040)
After being a hyped fantasy prospect in preseason, Coleman finally returned from injury last week and produced an 83 straight off the bat. He’s playing with plenty of freedom as a running half back and I think he can hit value again.
Robbie McComb ($6,000)
McComb produced a 53 on debut and did not look out of place at AFL level. He should be better for that run and is a 10x value prospect here against the Bombers.
MID PRICED PLAYS
Josh Daicos ($12,090)
Josh Daicos has done his best to take some of the spotlight away from his brother, Nick, putting in a strong start to the season. Daicos has two tons from his last three games and enjoys the expanses of the MCG as an outside player.
John Noble ($9,860)
Taking out a score of 18, Novle has been very serviceable this season with three scores over 80. The role he plays is well suited to taking advantage of Gold Coast’s deficiencies.
PREMIUM PLAYS
Bailey Smith (16,290)
Smith had a down game last week but still produced a 92-point performance. He has averaged 126 this year and should feast on Essendon’s midfield which is known for one way running.
