A three-game slate greets us for Sunday in daily fantasy, with a couple of finals contenders clashing to close out the round.

Most will expect North Melbourne to cop another hiding at the hands of the Adelaide Crows to kick off the action at Blundstone Arena. Next up, Collingwood looks to overcome a fortnight of off-field drama to try and claim their fifth consecutive victory as they take on the GWS Giants at the MCG, before the Power host the Suns in a fascinating contest for the finals aspirations of both sides. A big day of footy across three different states - let's get stuck into the action!

Draftstars have put up $75k in the main contest, as well as a couple of live final qualifier contests.

Weather

Hobart

Melbourne

Adelaide

Rain is expected around the country today, with all match locations under a weather cloud. The MCG is the most likely ground to cop rain during the AFL matches, so look to inside contested players from the Magpies and Giants.

Where to Attack?

Let's take a closer look at our AFL Data Tools to find any trends that might help us construct winning lineups on Draftstars for this match.

North have been a rabble all season and conceded points to players just about all over the ground. The story starts in the middle, where the Kangaroos have given up the second most points to opposition onballers. As a result, it may be worth considering some of the key Crows players who will find themselves in the engine room for long periods today.

In the forward line it is no different, as attackers have thrived on North’s ineptitude. The only team who is giving up bigger scores to their opposition forward lines is the West Coast Eagles, so this looks to be another area to attack here. All types of forwards have had success against the Kangaroos, so look to mix up your lineups with Adelaide options. It may be worth keeping an eye on the weather close to game start as well given the potential for tricky conditions in Hobart.

GWS were already struggling to contain opposition ruckmen and they enter today’s clash with Collingwood without a recognised big man. To date this year the Giants are giving up the greatest scores to their opposition ruck combinations. Lachlan Keeffe will likely take plenty of the work so Darcy Cameron will be on plenty of radars.

Game Script – Adelaide stacks

VALUE PLAYS

Lachlan Keeffe ($6,000)

As mentioned, Keeffe will likely fill the ruck void at GWS today. He had 24 hitouts last week and at minimum price should be a good chance to score value, especially if there is some rain around at the MCG.

Jake Soligo ($7,540)

Soligo has been a favourite of mine in this DFS previews as his scoring has been ultra-consistent for a bargain basement pick. He hasn’t dipped below 59 in six matches and scored a 78 last start. This week he takes on the lowly Roos.

MID-PRICED PLAYS

Jeremy Finlayson ($9,180)

Finlayson will again lead the makeshift ruck brigade for Port, taking on Jarrod Witts. Finlayson may not win many hitouts, but his work around the ground has been generating decent DFS scores and he should be good for a goal or two against the Suns.

Sam Berry ($9,540)

Berry fits the mould perfectly when it comes to targeting the Crows players who can rotate through the midfield, and his output isn't going to be dependent on the Hobart weather being friendly. One of the value players popping up on the Cheat Sheet as being one of the value spots on this slate, using him in some of your teams may open up some more salary to work with the premium mids on the slate. He has the potential to produce a 10x score here on projections.

PREMIUM PLAYS

Rory Laird ($16,740)

Laird is almost a lock play this week against North and will be highly owned. Averaging 113, the superstar has not gone below 119 in three matches and gets one of the easiest matchups in the league today.
