The BBL09 gets underway on Tuesday and at Daily Fantasy Rankings we are gearing up to be the biggest fantasy cricket season ever! The fireworks, the stumps lighting up, the massive sixes and the relentless plugs of My Kitchen Rules on Channel 7. Adding to this excitement is playing Daily Fantasy contests from the Australian providers with the help of our Daily Previews, Data Tools and our brand new Draftstars BBL Lineup Builder.

Each contest of the BBL09 season, DFR will break down each contest by providing our Daily Previews on the contests with our suggested plays. You can dig deeper into the data by accessing our Free Cheat Sheets and Game Logs. Get the edge on the field by exploiting value from each player. Then when the crunch is on, build your teams by using our brand new BBL Lineup Builder and easily enter into Draftstars.

Draftstars

Draftstars have the largest pools to start in the BBL09 season with a $20,000 contest to kick the tournament off on Tuesday. The $2 Mini tournaments are great for newcomers to the game as well as those with smaller bankrolls and regularly reach prize pools in excess of $1,500. Single Entry players are catered for with a $10 buy-in contest, while cash game players can choose from a range of Double Up, Head to Head and 6-Man contests at different buy-in levels.

 

Once again we are bringing our FREE Data Tools for each match on Draftstars. You will be able to look at previous player scores, team scores and cheat sheets for each match.

The scoring has not changed since last season where bonuses for strike rate and economy rate are key to fantasy scoring. We will be providing full previews based on Draftstars salaries for every game throughout the season and strongly recommend their contests to all players, new and old.

Moneyball

New to Daily Fantasy Rankings this season is our famous Data Tools are now available to BBL09 Moneyball contests! You will be able to look at Game Logs, Player scores and projections in Moneyball’s fantasy scoring format. 

 

Moneyball has a different scoring system to Draftstars and being able to adjust for the differences is vital in selecting a winning lineup. We display the Moneyball scoring system below for your convenience.

SportChamps

For those who fancy picking winning teams rather than players, SportChamps are running an interesting season long contest for a $10 entry which offers a $1,000 prize pool and players can only make “win” bets. You will struggle to find better value for money than this as you potentially get a full season of BBL09 betting for a $10 ticket, but you can elect to use up to 5 rebuys if you run out of luck early in the tournament.
