Fantasy Horse Racing Tips: Saturday June 15th 2019
Racing is at Sandown Lakeside in Victoria this Saturday where punters will be faced with a genuine Soft track whilst in Sydney, Rosehill is the venue where the track should be bordering on the Good to Soft range. Despite both meetings being fairly standard Winter meetings there are plenty of opportunities for punters to take advantage of.
SportChamps is the leading provider of fantasy horse racing tournaments and they offer a range of tournaments to suit all budgets. Their major tournaments are run on a Saturday with rebuy and no-rebuy options across the major metropolitan venues. This Saturday there is a $5,000 guaranteed tournament covering the metro meetings for $50 entry with 1 rebuy as well as a no re-buy $5,000 guaranteed tournament for metro meetings also. For those that are time-poor or are looking for an early win, they run consecutive hour-long tournaments across a range of races, spanning all 3 codes as they carry on later into the night. This week there will also be a guaranteed $5,000 tournament for a small $5 entry, giving everyone an excellent chance at a huge collect for such a small entry.
Moneyball and TopBetta also offer a vast range of tournaments, albeit slender rule variations, there is still plenty of prize money up for grabs. Despite the slightly smaller fields, options are a plenty for those wanting to play tournaments and we recommend you try out the different sites and options to find out which ones work for you. So, with plenty of racing on over the weekend covering all the main states, there is no shortage of action to keep you covered. At Daily Fantasy Rankings we have you covered across the board, so pop on the racing as we give you our best bets to give you an excellent opportunity this weekend.
11:45am Sandown - Race 1
The opening race at Sandown is for the 2-year-olds and it is quite an open affair according to the betting. I'm happy to be with the Anthony Freedman trained King Of Hastings who comes off an impressive debut win at Cranbourne. On that occasion he sat behind the leaders before getting the split just after straightening and racing away to win decisively. The rise in distance from 1000m to 1200m should suit and he should be able to obtain a similar run in transit here from a good gate. Since that run he has been kept up to the mark with an impressive jump out at Flemington and looks a good bet at the $3.80 with BetEasy.
12:05pm Rosehill - Race 2
The second event on the card at Rosehill is the Highway for the country trained horses and there looks a clear standout here in the name of Galapagos. He comes off a last start 3rd in much better grade than this behind Kolding and Quackerjack both of whom have won again since. He should settle around midfield for Robbie Dolan and repeat of that effort will see him far too good for this field. He looks a good thing and is currently $1.95 with Neds.
12:55pm Sandown - Race 3
The older sprinters lineup here and the main chances in the market are all coming through a race at Caulfield two weeks ago behind Bandipur. Malibu Style was the first horse home out of those competing here and I think he can do the same here. He should be able to sit on the leader, Jungle Edge here and have every chance to run him down over the final 400m. He will get the soft conditions that he likes and a repeat of his last run or his run three starts back at Warrnambool should make him very hard to beat here. He is currently $4.00 with Sportsbet.
1:30pm Sandown - Race 4
The three-year-olds do battle here, and I am happy to go with Morrissy from the Leon & Troy Corstens stable. Two starts back he was an excellent winner at Caulfield over this distance after sitting wide on speed and still being too strong. His most recent run was a plain effort down the straight at Flemington but I'm happy to forgive him that run as he never looked comfortable and should be much better suited back around a bend here. He has a significant jockey upgrade with Craig Williams replacing Liam Riordan and I would expect an aggressive ride here from Williams where the horse will either be in front or right on speed. He has no exposure to wet ground, but his breeding suggests it shouldn't be an issue. He is currently $3.80 with PointsBet.
1:50pm Rosehill - Race 5
Big field lineups here over the 1800m and the market has it pegged as a two-horse race with Quackerjack the short-priced favourite from So You Win. I'm happy to go against the market and put So You Win on top. Both runs back this preparation have been excellent and he is a last start winner over this track and distance. He is likely to get a soft run back on the fence in a race where there looks to be a bit of pressure and jockey Jason Collett is an expert on the ducking and weaving run from an inside position. The favourite Quackerjack is the main danger and a great chance but he gets to 1800m for the first time and his good performances at his last two starts have come on the back of him getting control up front, something that looks unlikely here or at best he won’t be handed the front. So You Win is currently $5.00 with BetEasy.
