EPL 2018/19 DFS Lineup Tips: Match Day 25
There’s no respite for players of the English Premier League at the moment with yet another round scheduled for this weekend. After a mid-week slate, all EPL teams will take place in another game this weekend that makes up Match Day 25 of the 2018-19 EPL season.
There’s the usual large slate on Saturday night/Sunday morning with six fixtures set to play out. These feature matches include:
Brighton and Hove Albion vs Watford (2am AEDT)
Burnley vs Southampton (2am AEDT)
Chelsea vs Huddersfield Town (2am AEDT)
Crystal Palace vs Fulham (2am AEDT)
Everton vs Wolverhampton Wanderers (2am AEDT)
Cardiff City vs Bournemouth (4:30am AEDT)
As usual, there are some huge DFS contests being offered for the mid-week action. DraftKings are hosting a massive $30,000 contest, Draftstars have a $3,000 contest, while SportChamps have a season long $5,000 tournament.
Below, we’ve provided our best team for the featured matches in the 30K DraftKings contest.
Goalkeeper
The number one thing you need to think about here is who’s most likely going to keep a clean sheet.
This week we feel the best option between the sticks is Arrizabalaga (CHE $5.9k). Even with so many games on we don’t trust anyone except Chelsea here. They’re home to Huddersfield and will most definitely keep a clean sheet. Lock him in.
Defenders
When selecting defenders you’re pretty much going in with same mindset as when selecting goalkeepers. Meaning you primarily just want players that are going to keep a clean sheet, with secondary thought given to those who can pick up assists or the odd goal.
This week we’ve decided to go all out with Chelsea players in defence. They may have had an off day mid-week, but they should bounce back at home against a poor team in Huddersfield. Make sure you check the match day squads before locking in your team, because there may be some collateral damage from their recent 4-0 loss. However, at this point in time we’ve gone with Alonso (CHE $6.2k) for his huge upset and goal threat, as well as fellow full back Azpilicueta (CHE $5.9k) and centre back David Luiz (CHE $4.1k).
Midfielders/Forwards
Most of the best midfield or forward options at DraftKings are dual position, meaning you can select them in either spot, which is why we’ve opted to group them together here.
Our midfield/forward picks for this weekend are:
Higuain (CHE $7k) – It wasn’t the best of debuts for the Argentinian, but given another opportunity this weekend we feel he will make amends. Very nicely priced for his potential output.
King (BOU $8.5k) – The first of two Cherries players in our team this weekend, Josh King earns his place. He’s in goal scoring form and has a favourable match-up against Cardiff.
Fraser (BOU $8k) – Ryan Fraser is another Cherry who’s been magnificent all season long. He’s a great fantasy scorer and is in the thick of all of their attacks.
McArthur (CRY $4k) – We finish our team with a bit of a left field selection. We like Palace against Fulham this weekend and have chosen McArthur for his potential to score big against weaker teams.
