2018 NRL Chalk, Chance or Chump: Round 25 Friday
Round 25 of the NRL will see two games being played on Friday night, starting with the Warriors clash at home against an in-form Raiders side before the only match of the round containing two top 8 sides; Storm v Panthers.
Penrith are horribly out of form and taking on a Melbourne side who will be looking to win secure the Minor Premiership.
The team at DraftStars has $5,000 on the line for the Panthers v Storm game, with a buy-in of $15. They have a number of smaller contests with smaller buy-ins available as well, as does PlayOn, so be sure to check them both out to find the contest that suits your style and budget!
Chalk – Viliame Kikau (Panthers)
The big Panthers edge forward has had a knack this year of wreaking havoc late in games, playing a huge role in most of Penrith’s come-from-behind victories this year. His season average of 47.4 is very solid and reliably met in his last 4 games, where he has scored a low of 45.2 and a high of 53.7. At $11,490, he is brilliant value that won’t break the bank.
Chance – Joe Stimson (Storm)
Stimson has an average of respectable 30 so far this year, however his performances since moving into the starting 13 for the last 3 games has been remarkably better, averaging 47 per game, with a 53.1 last week. He’ll be starting again this week. At a price of just $9,430, he’s top value given his current form.
Chump – Dallin Watene-Zelezniak (Panthers)
The Panthers Winger/Fullback is exactly a financial straight, costing just $7,910, however his season average of 27.7 is a bit on the low side. More alarmingly though is that he played the full 80 minutes last week yet managed a score of just 4.2 points. With the Panthers in horrible form and the Storm kicking game set to cause a lot of pressure, he will likely be kept quiet yet again.
