2018 AFL: Round 3 Fantasy Prop Bets
We hit on just one of three AFL fantasy prop bets last weekend to take our season tally to three wins and three losses over the two rounds. We’ll look to add another few wins this weekend as we present our best bets for Round 3 below.
Patrick Dangerfield (Geelong)
In Dangerfield’s two games against the Eagles since joining Geelong he has scored 113 and 116. He was fantastic on the weekend when finally moved into the midfield in the last quarter and should get more time in the middle of the ground as his fitness levels improve. Had 118 points against the Hawks on the weekend and while Gary Ablett outscored him, Ablett had his favourite conditions against the Hawks at the MCG. We think Dangerfield bounces back this weekend and outscores Gaz on the road.
TIP: Patrick Dangerfield to outscore Gary Ablett - $1.88 at CrownBet
Rory Laird (Adelaide)
Rory Laird has absolutely dominated the first two rounds. He has accumulated over 40 posessions in both games and has scores of 124 and 141 respectively. Is in a H2H duel with Lachie Whitfield this weekend, who has a really tough matchup against the hardnosed Sydney midfield. Laird should run rampant on the Saints this weekend.
TIP: Rory Laird to outscore Lachie Whitfield - $1.88 at CrownBet
Patrick Cripps (Carlton)
Collingwood have allowed contested ball winners to run rampant over the first two rounds. Tom Mitchell went nuts for 54 disposals in Round 1 before the trio of Shiel, Coniglio and Ward all scored over 100 for the Giants against them in Round 2. Cripps is a contested ball magnet and a tackling machine. Had a down week in Round 2 and still scored 95 points, we like his overs this week.
TIP: Patrick Cripps over 108.5 points - $1.88 at CrownBet
