WEATHER WATCH

Nothing more than little sprinkles of rain across the country for this Saturday slate. Remember that at Marvel stadium the roof will be closed so the weather will have no impact. This means we can pick out teams free from weather concerns in all games! Play ball.

Where to Attack

North Melbourne are getting carved up by backlines over the last five weeks and this has left them sitting second for points conceded to the position on the season. On the flip side Collingwood have been giving up points all season to the position, but started to really restrict this avenue of scoring later in the season.

Hawthorn have been one of the top teams to attack through the midfield all season, but it is via premium players that you really cash in. The Hawks have given up 113 points per player to the top three scoring opposition midfielders this season, which is the most in the league.

Tim English continues to be the best ruckman in the league to target for yet another season, giving up 92 points per game to the oppositions number one ruckman. This poses the challenge of whether or not you are willing play one of the two headed monsters in Ceglar or McEvoy given they split time at the position.

Game Stack – Hawthorn backs & Western Bulldogs midfielders, Port Adelaide team

VALUE PLAYS

Nick Blakey (DS $7,960) has flourished in his move to the back line and despite an increase in his fantasy output with not score lower than 64 from his last 6 games (three games of 77+). This is an elite matchup for him against North who have given up the second most points in the league to the position this year. There is a real option of stacking Blakely up with another Sydney back in this matchup, particularly with Jake Lloyd out there will be plenty of uncontested disposals and kick ins up for grabs.

MID PRICED PLAYS

Conor Nash (DS $9,400) has move into the midfield to end the season attending approximately 50% of the team’s centre bounces over the last two weeks. This has resulted in a significant boost to his fantasy scoring posting fantasy scores of 92 and 95 in each of these two rounds. The matchup against the Western Bulldogs isn’t ideal, however the game is based down in Launceston where the Hawks and Nash will be much more comfortable.

Josh Dunkley (DS $12,550) has been performing miserably since returning from injury notching up back-to-back scores in the 50s. At first glance, you would think he is probably playing forward as he returns to fitness; however he has still been seeing 40-50% of the teams centre bounces. This means he will break out with a big score in time, and you want to catch it at this price point. This is an ideal matchup for him with the Hawks giving up the second most fantasy points in the league this year.

Zak Butters (DS $11,240) has been back in the line-up for three games now and increased his fantasy score in each one. He has shown GPP winning upside and I love including him Port Adelaide stacks, especially on this slate where they are over 35-point favourites.

PREMIUM PLAYS

Karl Amon (DS $14,740) is having a career season averaging just under 100 points per game. Over the last six games he has posted 4 of 109+, but three of these have been over 122. These are GPP winning numbers and the opportunity you want to give yourself to hit a high placed finish. I will be stacking him up with other Port Adelaide players who should get a big win at home against Carlton (35-point favourites).
