Team News

In fantasy relevant team news, the Sea Eagles are sweating in the fitness of Curtis Sironen who has a knee injury. Cade Cust is back in the halves and Tevita Funa is at centre. Chanel Harris-Tavita starts in the halves after Blake Green’s move to the Knights. Su’A is out due to suspension which means Jack Johns will start.

For the Broncos, more changes but David Fifita is back in the back row, Brodie Croft back in the halves. Matt Lodge could be a late inclusion.

Fantasy Plays

WFB: Two 10+ favourites means we need to look at options from the Sea Eagles and Rabbitohs. Thankfully all options are pretty cheap which means you can look at stacking Sea Eagles options such as Brandan Elliot $7,000, Jorge Taufua $7,000 and Reuben Garrick $8,370. These options do not have exceptionally high floors but you cannot ignore at these prices. Same can be said for Rabbits options with Latrell Mitchell and Alex Johnston looking to feast at home. If you have some spare salary then Roger Tuivasa-Sheck $11,180 is also a great option.

CTR: Kotoni Staggs $11,670 has had a rather interesting week but he is the standout option here. Dane Gagai $10,720 is CTR eligible and has an impressive 50.8 fantasy average in his past 5 games. Peta Hiku $8,970 has been exceptional for the Warriors and needs to be considered if you want to pivot away.

HALF: Cody Walker $12,560 was exceptional in the absence of Adam Reynolds $13,510 and these two will be the target of many Rabbitohs stacks. Cade Cust $11,260 will be underowned due to the Warriors halves pairings of Kodi Nikorima $9,590 and Chanel Harris-Tevita $8,520 underpriced. Expect Nikorima to kick the ball more often in the absence of Green. As for the theme of the season, I still can’t trust Broncos option

2RF: Another week, another shout out to get Patrick Carrigan $15,680 into your lineups and once again that does not change on a small slate. David Fifita $14,730 returns but I am not so sure first up with Tevita Pangai Jnr $14,450 and Payne Haas in the middle as well. With Jayden Su’A out, Jack Johns $8,130 is an instant value play. The son of Matthew Johns was impressive off the bench until a knock ended his night in Round 11. Jazz Tevaga $14,140 is another favourite of mine but his only 2RF option. Haumole Olakau’atu $7,000 and Corey Wadddell $8,280 have come into the Sea Eagles side to replace Curtis Sironen and Joel Thompson. And must be considered if you are going a ‘stars and scrubs’ build.

HOK: Damien Cook $16,060 is far away the safest play in this position. All other options have bench cover and would need to have the game of the season to beat Cook. Lock Cook and move on.

FRF: Thousands of options in this position but the one I like at value is Jack Hetherington $9,370 who scored 47FP in 80 minutes. Whether Jack gets 80 minutes is debatable but he is certainly in play. So many bench options as well but Liam Knight $9,930 is one to consider if you wish not to pay up.

Final Word: As mentioned, Manly and Souths backs options will make up the majority of lineups along with a very chalky Damien Cook. The value in the Warriors halves will make lineup building pretty fun if you wish to get creative. Good Luck!
