LoL European Masters DFS Tips: May 6th 2020
Welcome to Wednesday's League of Legends Daily Fantasy preview for DraftKings for the Quarterfinals of the European Masters!
Today’s feature contest is the LOL $150K Shock Blast ($50,000 to 1st) on DraftKings and a $8,000 Elder Dragon for $4 entry.
After all of the pool play and tiebreakers, we have ourselves our final 8 teams in the knockout face of the tournament. DraftKings contests are available for the 2nd day of Quarter Final matches on Wednesday and the semi-final matches on Saturday.
The opening quarterfinal matches were both 2-0 sweeps with AGO Rouge knocking out the fancied mousesports to move into the semi-finals. French team LDLC also cleaned up BTXL. All 4 games were crushing score lines, well done to those who stacked AGO and LDLC in their DraftKings lineups!
Knockout play is the best of 3 matches so teams do get a second chance if they suffer defeat in game 1.
Here are today’s bookies odds with action getting underway at 0200 AEST (Thursday morning) and the current odds from Beteasy as of 1000 AEST.
Kill Spreads
Currently for the MRS and FNC.R match we currently have Maps 1 and 2 at 26.5 with a spread of 0.5 towards MRS (basically a coin flip)
For the GO and K1CK match the Kill totals for Map 1 & 2 are currently 25.5 with a spread of 4.5 towards GO.
Tournament Statistics from EU Masters (per game)
Note DraftKings have not updated fantasy scores for Week 2 from FNC.R, K1CK and MRS. Only GO has the proper FPPG which might throw a few of the trails today. Today I have added a KDA column in its place.
GO are strong favourites today to defeat K1CK but K1CK has played a more fantasy friendly game throughout the tournament. Polish outfit K1CK have had a huge tournament by progressing through the play-in phase and grabbing the 2nd seed in their pool. Puki Style $7,400 and Matislaw $7,000 have put up massive numbers in the tournament but they face a much more experienced combination in GO’s toucouille ($6,600) and XDSMILEY ($7,600). K1CK’s game plan is to come out of the blocks and control the early game by taking down 1st blood and early objectives. GO should thwart this and apply the early pressure forcing K1CK into clawing back deficits. I do like GO to advance into the semi-finals but don’t be surprised this series goes the distance. I would be considering stronger stacks from this match-up as this series does have the potential to be fantasy friendly.
Targets - MID toucouille, JNG bluerzor, ADC XDSMILEY, SUP HuslinBeasT
MRS was successful in their tiebreaker round by winning through to top Group C and to take on UK outfit FNR.C. The markets currently can’t separate these two teams but I am leaning towards the Spanish outfit for the win. However, FNC.R statistical numbers are much more superior and that will lead ownership towards the UK side. One of those ownership leaders will be Dan $7,000 whose KPG and APG numbers are nearly slate proof regardless of win and loss. His high assist rate has earnt him KA+ bonuses, including the loss to mousesports in week 2. Dan has actually had 10+ assists 5 out of 6 games played in the tournament. The TOP lane is pretty barren today with no particular standout. Beansu ($5,800) is the cheapest of the lot and has a comparable KDA to opponent Pride ($6,600). Having Beansu will allow salary savings, especially for the GO players on the slate. If you are leaning towards a FNR.C win then the bottom bot lane duo of xMatty ($7,800) and Bravado ($5,800) is essential in stacking. xMatty did have an off game against the Wizards (Win) on Week 2 with a 2/2/4 line so a degree of caution needs to be adhered too. Tough to seperate but as I mentioned I with the Spanish outfit over an inconsistent UK side.
Targets - JNG Dan, TOP Beansu, TEAM MRS
