Fantasy Tennis: 2019 US Open Day 3 Tips
Welcome to the Day 3 fantasy tennis preview of the 2019 US Open. Taking a high-risk high-reward approach today in selecting a team, as there are a couple of big favourites that I think will win comfortably today. From there, it is simply a case of trying to find the upset.

2019 US Open Day 3 Fantasy Lineup Tips
Player 1 – Daniil Medvedev ($11,200)
This match could genuinely get very ugly. If Medvedev plays his low error style of game, then I don’t see how Dellien can get anywhere near the Russian today in any capacity today. This could be an absolute whitewash on hardcourt.
Player 2 – Miomir Kecmanovic ($10,500)
Based on the struggles on Lorenzi in the first round, and considering how well Kecmanovic has played on North American hardcourt this year, this also has the potential to be quite one-sided match, and Kecmanovic should be winning this match in straight sets. Lorenzi was nearly knocked out by Svadja, ranked 1415, in the first round, needing 5 sets to prevail. Not a good sign coming in to this match.
Player 3 – Sofia Kenin ($10,300)
Another who has the potential to generate a one-sided scoreline. Siegemund shouldn’t have too many answers for the American on hardcourt, and Kenin will appreciate the extra time on the ball today coming off her straight set win over CoCo Vandeweghe. Should win in straight sets and quite comfortably barring a disaster.
Player 4 – Pablo Cuevas ($7,800)
Great value selection today, as he is facing a tired Majchrzak, who took 5 sets to scrape past Nicolas Jarry in the 1st round. Should be too strong if he maintains a solid first serve percentage and hits his spots well. Great value and confident in his ability to get the job done.
Player 5 – Dominik Koepfer ($5,800)
Looks to be a decent value prospect today given recent form. Has played Opelka 3 times in the past, improving each time. Played earlier this year and the match ended in a 26-point tiebreak. The slower court doesn’t favour big Reilly, so an upset here is possible. Big fan of the leftie, and surprised to see his salary below $6,000.
Player 6 – Lin Zhu ($4,400)
The best of the bunch with the salary remaining. Plays a high risk game, and she will need to do that to defeat Keys today. Has beaten the likes of Petra Kvitova in the past, so a win here isn’t out of the question, especially considering Keys’ slow start to proceedings in round 1 against Doi. Not an impossibility, and Zhu won’t die wondering.
