EPL 2019-20 DFS Lineup Tips: Match Day 2
The English Premier League got underway last weekend for the 2019-20 season! There were some fantastic matches that tossed up some bizarre results, but most importantly, it was great entertainment for all soccer die-hards (and neutrals for that matter). This week there are more fantastic matches, especially in the huge six-game slate on Saturday night with the headliner being Manchester City vs Tottenham.
The six fixtures on Saturday night / Sunday morning include:
Bournemouth vs Aston Villa (Sunday 12am)
Brighton & Hove Albion vs West Ham United (Sunday 12am)
Everton vs Watford (Sunday 12am)
Norwich City vs Newcastle United (Sunday 12am)
Southampton vs Liverpool (Sunday 12am)
Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur (Sunday 2:30am)
Leading DFS sites have put up some more great contests for soccer fans to get involved in this weekend. DraftKings have upped the ante by hosting a $75,000 contest for a $20 buy-in. Draftstars have posted $5,000 contest for a $15 buy-in.
Here are our best plays for the six-game slate on Saturday night.
VALUE PLAYS
Neil Taylor ($8,220 DS / $3,400 DK) – Villa didn’t get their EPL campaign off to the start they had wanted, but it was a road game vs Tottenham who are one of the best teams in the world. Now up against a Bournemouth side that they should beat, we have Taylor scoring well at near basement price.
Bernard ($7,000 DS / $4,700 DK) – Didn’t have an ideal start to the season for fantasy players, in fact he scored in the negatives on both sites. However, if you’re big on bounce back games, then now is the time to bring him in. He has the soft match-up vs Watford at home and should be heavily involved if given the chance.
MID-PRICED PLAYS
Mat Ryan ($10,500 DS / $4,900 DK) – The Aussie shot-stopper got his new campaign off to a fantastic start with a clean sheet on the road vs Watford. He and his Brighton side now get a much easier task vs West Ham at home that we expect them to do well in on last week’s form.
Oleksandr Zinchenko ($9,720 DS / $5,200 DK) – An absolute steal at his price on Draftstars. Zinchenko isn’t the first-choice full back for City, but with Mendy out he should get the nod again. He had a great first up match and should score well again given the chance.
PREMIUM PLAYS
Raheem Sterling ($19,950 DS / $9,300 DK) – The most expensive player on the slate and for good reason. Got his season underway with a fantastic hattrick and was denied a further assist and a penalty had Aguero been a team man. The Spurs will offer a harder match-up, but he and his City side are still the superior outfit.
Richarlison ($14,010 DS / $8,800 DK) – Didn’t hit the scoreboard in Match Day 1 and is still reasonably priced. He’s the Toffees most dangerous attacker by a long way and should be able to take full advantage of what looks like a horrible Hornets defence.
