2019-20 NBA DFS Season Preview
The 2019-20 NBA season is set to tip off this Wednesday at 11am AEDT and Australian daily fantasy sports players are looking forward to commence another big season of NBA DFS. In Australia, DFS players have access to the biggest US DFS site in DraftKings and the biggest Australian DFS site in Draftstars.
We start with a two-game slate where the New Orleans Pelicans taking on the NBA Champions in the Toronto Raptors, then we have the battle of LA where the Clippers and the Lakers do battle in the second game.
DraftKings have posted their featured contests which is highlighted by the massive $1 Million Opening Tip Off with $200,000 going to 1st place! Entry to this contest is $10USD. This is the biggest contest you will find on Wednesday with over 117,647 entries into this contest. The contest has a maximum of 150 entries so you will find many DFS pros maxing it out. The top 24,000 entries will be in the cash.
The beauty of DraftKings however, is that there are many huge contests at various buy-ins and entry caps. From the high roller “Thunderdome” through to the single entry $1 contests there are contests for all ability and bankrolls.
In addition to the featured tournaments there are also Head to Head, 50/50s and Multipliers that you would be familiar with on the Australian sites at various buy-ins and prize money.
If you are new to DraftKings, then make sure you take advantage of the Beginner contests on the platform. You will get to play against other new players so you can work on your strategy or just get a feel of the site at little risk.
For us Australian players, most of you will be familiar with the Draftstars lobby, where Draftstars have posted an opening day contest of $30,000 for a $15 buy-in. The $2 mini’s and Single Entry contests are back for another massive season of NBA.
Moneyball have also started the season with a bang, posting a huge $25,000 contest for a $15 buy-in. The winner will take home $2,500 and the top 456 will cash, so make sure you head on over there to get involved. They also have a $2 mini contest with over $2,000 up for grabs. The popular 425 Target is back for another season where for a $1 entry you can have a go at the jackpot. To win the jackpot you need to construct a lineup that achieves 425 fantasy points!
