nrl fantasy round 13

Friday night footy at ANZ Stadium is a top four battle between the Rabbitohs and Sharks in Round 13. The Souths’ lineup has been torn apart due to Origin so the Sharks will be heavily favoured to win this.

To give you some extra enjoyment for this Saturday, why not enter a couple of teams in the NRL fantasy $10k Qualifier at PlayON? We’ve given you a head start with our Chalk, Chance and Chump article picking out the best and the worst for your team lineups this Friday.

Chump - Josh Dugan (Sharks)

For $18mil, I believe Josh Dugan is overpriced and risky, especially this week. There’s a lot more cheaper options in the outside backs and you would rather spend the money in the forwards. Dugan is coming off 1220 points but that was in a trashing against the Knights. The Rabbitohs are a lot better side and they have a massive forward pack. Dugan can also be undisciplined as he was sin binned two weeks ago and he has scored under 1000 points in 4 of the past 8 games.

Chance - Hymel Hunt (Rabbitohs)

Hymel Hunt gets his chance in the starting lineup this week and I hope he’s motivated to score big in Fantasy. Previously, when has playing 80 minutes Hunt put up scores of 905 and a massive total of 1410. He only played 10 minutes last week against the Warriors and still scored 235 points. I think he’s a good chance to score 1000+ once again and should be popular in the second outside backs position.

Chalk - Andrew Fifita (Sharks)

There’s a few reasons to pick Andrew Fifita this week. Firstly, he’ll be massively disappointed to not be in the NSW team for Game 1 and he’ll be fired up to show them why on Friday night. Next, I think he’ll love the challenge of smashing into the Burgess brothers all night. Finally, he was rested last week and that’s a nice advantage. In his last 3 games, he’s scored 1600 or more points and does come with a heavy price tag. However, the reward is high enough to justify his $21.4 mil, especially if you spend wisely in the outside backs.
