James Sicily

After a few ordinary Friday Night matches in the past couple of weeks, this one promises to be a cracker! We’ve got another instalment of one of the best modern day rivalries in the Hawks vs the Swans at the MCG.

Once again, PlayON have some huge cash prizes up for grabs in their AFL tournaments this weekend, headlined by a massive $1500 on offer on Friday Night! They also have several qualifiers for the season-ending $100,000 Super Contest as well as a range of smaller buy-in contests if you want to dip your toes in.

So let’s get stuck into this week’s Chalk, Chance or Chump as we look to help you out with your DFS AFL lineups for this Friday night!

Chalk – James Sicily (HAW)

Whether you like him or not, James Sicily is a terrific footballer and he’s our ‘Chalk’ of the week. The Hawks look like a different side when he’s floating across half-back using his elite intercept play and kicking to slingshot them into attack. Despite a dominant year, he’s still under-priced by PlayON at $13.5m with an average of 97 points per contest. He’s had 111 and 135 in his last two, which makes him a must have at his price tag.

Chance – Ben Ronke (SYD)

The slightly built 20-year-old forward Ben Ronke of the Sydney Swans is our ‘Chance’ pick this week. He now has 2 games of AFL under his belt and has looked the part in both, tallying a serviceable 78 and 56 fantasy points. He’s absolute basement price at $6.2m at PlayON and has the ability to produce scores higher than a lot of players valued above him. Make sure you give him a run in your PlayON squad if he’s named in the team to play on Friday Night.

Chump – Kieren Jack (SYD)

This week’s ‘Chump’ come in the form of Swans former captain, Keiren Jack. He’s had an extremely disappointing start to the 2018 season, averaging just 16 disposals and 4 tackles a game. He must be on the brink of selection these days with so many talented young Swans players knocking down the door after consistent performances in the 2’s. All-in-all Jack’s days of being fantasy relevant are well and truly behind him, and at a price of $11.8m at PlayON - make sure you look elsewhere.
