AFL Callum Sinclair celebrating

Round 15 of the 2018 AFL Premiership season kicks off on Thursday Night with a blockbuster clash between the Tigers and the Swans at Etihad. Both sides are in tremendous form and are sitting equal first on top of the ladder, which should make for a thrilling encounter in front of a packed stadium.

Once again, PlayON have some great cash prizes up for grabs in their AFL tournaments this weekend, starting with a $1,000 contest on offer on Thursday Night! They also have several qualifiers for the season-ending $100,000 Super Contest as well as a range of smaller buy-in contests if you want to dip your toes in.

As fantasy sport enthusiasts ourselves, we’re well aware that selecting a team is extremely draining and stressful, and can often be like eating a watch (time consuming). For those reasons, we’ve scoured over spreadsheets and old tapes to bring you another edition of our fantasy Chalk, Chance or Chump, as we look to help you out with your DFS AFL lineups for this Thursday night!

Chalk – Callum Sinclair (Swans)

Our ‘Chalk’ for Thursday Night is Swans monster, Callum Sinclair. He’s having a terrific season as the first (and often only) choice ruckman at the club and has had some big fantasy numbers to back that up. He’s averaging 94 a game and has eclipsed 100 points in two of his last three games. It’s also important to mention that Richmond give up the third most points against for rucks in the competition, which bodes well for our man Callum.

Chance – Zak Jones (Swans)

The bald-headed bull (Zak Jones) is a player you could take a ‘Chance’ on in your fantasy team on Thursday Night. He’s a kick and chase type of operator who thrives on the pressure that comes with the big stage. He’s been a solid fantasy performer all season, averaging 71 points for the year and 79 points over his last 4 games. Additionally, if you’re an analytics type of person, then you’ll see from our Crunching Numbers Fantasy Tips article that he’s great value for his price!

Chump – Dustin Martin (Tigers)

Making a return to be our ‘Chump’ of the week is Dustin Martin of the Richmond Tigers. He’s an incredible talent and a great player of our game, but he’s unfortunately in the midst of a form slump. He’s averaging a respectable 88 fantasy points for the season, but has dropped to just a 74 point average over his past 5 games. Then there’s the George Hewett factor. Hewett has had tremendous success shutting down opposition players this season and will likely target Martin on Thursday Night. In previous years Dusty has had no problem handling a tag, but this year has been a little different. It was not long ago that Roos tagger Ben Jacobs kept him to just 48 points for the game. If the news is that Hewett will be sent to Dusty, I advise steering clear.
